How to Handle Bullies When Adults Don’t Support You
Write Down Your Feelings
When you’re being bullied, it’s normal to feel frustrated or upset. Write down your experiences and feelings. This can help clear your mind and will make you feel light. You can take additional steps with your written notes like:
- Crumple It: Imagine all your stress is in that piece of paper and crumple it tightly. Then, if you want, throw it in a dustbin.
Prioritize Self-Care
If you aren’t getting support from others, start by taking care of yourself. Ensure you get 8 hours of sleep, exercise regularly, and follow your hobbies. This will give you inner peace and help you handle things much better.
Talk to Bully
Try to make the bully realize that their behavior is affecting you. This can work in many cases if they understand the consequences of their actions. Don’t do this, if the bully is too much aggressive or unresponsive.
Find True Friends
When you’re being bullied, it’s important to find supportive friends. They can help you feel safe and secure.
Walk Tall and Hold Your Head High
Using good body language can make you feel more confident. It also affects how others perceive you. Good posture can make others see confidence in you.
Join Anti-Bullying Programs
Join your school’s programs for bullying and harassment prevention. If that’s not possible, seek help online. Many organizations run programs to prevent bullying. You can join them, and share your problems and stories, and even there are many helplines for helping the victims of bullying in many countries. Try it too.
Don’t Lose Hope
Continue to seek adult support. Even if you’ve told them before, keep trying to make them understand your problem.
Until you get significant help, you can try the above ways to maintain your mental peace and possibly resolve the issue on your own. If you have any doubts or problems, feel free to ask in the comments. I would love to help.
